Inkjet Printing! It’s time has come! The InkJet printer is a unique piece of equipment used to print directly on Garments. I bought a Hopkins 6 color 4 station manual printer 14 years ago and it’s been working for me with no problem. Screen printing is not an easy job to do but it’s very lucrative. InkJet printing might just make printing a little easier. I saw a demo of a T-Jet Printer at a trade show in Las Vegas last year and it’s on my list for the next piece of equipment to buy. The T-Jet printer is one of many that’s on the market. More information below:

The Fast T-Jet® 3 is one of U.S. Screen’s newest additions to the Fast T-Jet® line of Inkjet-to-Garment printers. These printers have revolutionized the garment printing industry and the Fast T-Jet® 3 raises the bar even higher. With 30% faster print speeds and a longer print bed that makes loading and unloading of garments easier, this printer will decrease production time while increasing cost effectiveness.

In 2004 US Screen introduced the garment printing industry to the first Fast T-Jet®. With the arrival of the Fast T-Jet® 3,the industry can continue printing the brightest whites on a printer now Made In America. Backed by 24hr support and a 30 day money back guarantee, U.S. Screen is truly committed to providing the best support possible.

With the Fast T-Jet® 3 SDT-1300 you can produce a full size, 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) image in under one minute on a light shirt. You can print that same image in under three minutes on a black shirt with white ink. A small chest print takes less than fifteen seconds! The Fast T-Jet® 3 has a deeper bed for printing on thick items like sweatshirts and hoodies and a maximum print size of 12 ” x 17 ” (30.5 x 43.2 cm). It can print an image on baseball caps, with the optional baseball cap holder, as well as towels, panties, shorts, mouse pads, bibs, bandanas and more. It even has a laser sensor to detect a garment that is in the way of the print head.

Small enough to fit on a table-top, the unit measures 30″ W x 36″ L and 17.5″ H (76.2 x 91.4 x 44.5cm). It uses four color inkjet technology (CMYK) plus white ink and comes complete with a continuous flow bulk ink system, four 8 oz. starter bottles of FastINK™ TEXTILE colors, 16 oz. of FastINK™ White and a gallon of special pretreatment for dark shirts. There are also optional 6 and 8 color Ink Systems available for printing amazing images if you wish to print on light shirts only.

Also included with the printer is a very powerful Windows™ based graphics application called FastARTIST™. Very similar to CorelDRAW®, Illustrator® or Photoshop®, FastARTIST™ can be used for all your image creation needs, but you have the option of creating an image in any graphics program (Mac or PC) and importing it into FastARTIST™ for output.

The Fast T-Jet® 3 Inkjet-to-Garment printer also comes with FastRIP™ - software that has special ICC color profiles for color matching along with Postscript that tells the printer how much ink to print and how to print white ink. This machine is great for small and large jobs. With an ink cost of less than 40 cents per shirt (standard print size) and speeds of one to three minutes per normal print, you can get great production rates with a great bottom line! You even have the ability to synchronize two units together and run the “Fast T-Jet® 3 Factory” like an embroidery machine with an optional software upgrade.
