Jason McElwain a Special Person…

Jason McElwain has Autism it’s a brain disorder that affects 1 in every 150 kids, but no one knows what causes it. Jason McElwain’s story is a special story as you will see and read about. Scientist thinks that some kids might be more likely to get autism because it or similar disorders run in their families. It’s hard to predict because the human brain is so complicated.

For Jason McElwain, Autism has never stopped him from doing what he loves. Jason spends hour’s everyday shooting baskets in a gym. He’s worked hard all his life for a slim chance to play in just one game. Who would have known that “Hope” would play in a game with 4 minutes and 19 seconds to go. It’s amazing! Jason McElwain is the Team Manager for Greece Athena High School’s basketball team. He worked hard wiping up the sweat off the floors for the team, but today Jason was sent into the game to play the last 4minutes 19 seconds when the team was up 20 points.
