I had to show you my Rotties!

I had to show off my 2 Rotties before I get on to business. Kaulena and Cimba in this picture are pure Rotties. At the time we took these pictures Kaulena was 12 weeks and Cimba 9 weeks old. Kaulena is now 6 months old and both dogs will be going to obedience training starting the 20th of this month.
Here’s my Monday and Tuesday morning workout. Monday morning I woke up at 06:00AM and started my treadmill workout at 06:20. Both mornings was an excellent workout and I enjoyed it. In fact I had my 6 month old rottie watching me and kept trying to jump on the treadmill to walk with me. She might have got use to walking with me because normally I would do my morning walk around the neighborhood. All and all it was nice. My stats for the 2 days are lised below.
Monday Workout: 01/07/2008
Time: 18.56
speed: 3.3
Distance: 1.003
Calories: 119.6
Carbs: 14.9
Incline: 2.0
Tuesday Workout: 01/08/2008
Time: 18.16
speed: 3.5
Distance: 1.003
Calories: 118.8
Carbs: 14.8
Incline: 2.0
My times are getting a little better and I’m trying to bring my mile under 15 minutes by the end of this month. If I can do this then for the month of February, my plans are to start my speed at 3.0 and walk for 45 minutes in the morning and 45 minutes in the evening after work.
I haven’t been posting my diet but I have been watching what I eat. I normally have a protein shake for breakfast with a tall glass of ice water and for lunch a tossed salad with brioled chicken strips and a little dressing. Dinner would be a small tossed green salad with either chicken or steak. I stopped eating rice all together. I had a couple of monster drinks which I know I should stop but it’s way less than I’ve been drinking. I’ll go cold turkey soon.
Rise and Shine!

It’s January 5, 2008 and it’s been 4 days now since I started my workout routine. So far it’s been good workouts. I’m not over exerting myself but I push myself to better my exercise times each day. I can feel when I’m pushing myself to hard so I normally slow my pace down a bit so that I can stick with my program. For myself, if I can get through a month of my workout routine, I know I’ll stick with my daily workout for awhile.
This morning I woke up at 06:00 AM. I started my morning routine by doing 15 minutes of stretching than puting on my running shoes. You should have comfortable shoes to walk or run with. It makes all the difference after your workout. Here are my stats for this morning. I jotted my times down the first day that I started and this morning, I’ll notate it below.
My first workout:
Time: 25:29
Speed: 2.7
Distance: 1.106
Calories: 139.9
Carbs: 17.3
Incline: 2.0
This morning:
Time: 20:37
Speed: 3.2
Distance: 1.010
Calories: 123.6
Carbs: 15.4
Incline: 2.0
I’m trying to stick with a mile a day for the first week and increase it to 1 1/2 miles the second week and the third week I’ll hit 2 miles. I want to get up to about 45 minutes of either a treadmill workout or a fast 45 minute walk around the neighborhood. My goal is to stick with my program and get down to my slim 210lbs.
As for my meals I found a store here locally that serves really good healthy meals. The store’s name is Down To Earth Health Food Store. It has a variety of dishes that you choose from and great tofu burgers. They have a website that has the recipes that they serve. I listed their website on my first posting in my Hawaii Recipe’s Categories.
